01 / THE INTRODUCTION
HumanType
Typing, Reimagined.
Your words. A considered pace. A Windows workspace for controlled typing simulations, document revisions, and a workflow you direct.
WINDOWS X64 · PORTABLE · V1.2.302 / THE WORKSPACE
Begin with your words.
Import a document or use pasted text. Review the source, choose where it goes, and watch your prepared words become a paced writing sequence.
DOCX · DOC · RTF · ODT · TXT · MD · HTML · TEXT-BASED PDF03 / THE RHYTHM
A pace that you define.
Choose static WPM, average speed with variation, or a minimum–maximum range. Add thinking pauses at sentence and paragraph boundaries.
CONTROLLED TIMING · CONFIGURABLE PAUSES · REPEATABLE SETTINGS04 / THE DESTINATION
One source. Your workspace.
Work in Word, Google Docs, a UTF-8 text file, or a compatible text field. Each destination has its own setup and formatting capabilities.
WORD FOR RICH LAYOUT · OTHER DESTINATIONS FOR BASIC TEXT05 / THE REVISION
Keep the changes that matter.
Compare old and new documents. Select the revisions to keep, save a separate DOCX, and use that result as your next typing source.
WORD REQUIRED FOR COMPARISON · ORIGINAL FILES PRESERVED06 / INSIDE HUMANTYPE
Every part. Under your control.
Source, parameters, destination, and session controls work together. Pause and resume, adjust your next session, or recover from a saved checkpoint.
SETTINGS APPLY TO NEW SESSIONS · RECOVERY DEPENDS ON DESTINATION07 / READY WHEN YOU ARE
Your workflow. Reimagined.
A considered approach to text-entry demonstrations, document workflows, and repeatable simulations. Start with your source. Stay in control.

A workspace with intention.
Prepare
Bring source text, document conversion, and selective comparison into one workspace.
Direct
Choose the pace, pauses, amendments, and destination that fit your simulation.
Keep control
Pause, inspect your result, export a snapshot, and recover supported sessions.
THE PRACTICAL PART
From download
to first result.
Six steps. A clear beginning.
Choose a step to inspect the workflow.
Extract the portable ZIP. Keep the included files together, then open HumanType.exe. The Morne Windows x64 release includes its .NET runtime.
Choose Import document or paste text and choose Use pasted text. Review the converted source and any preflight notices. Text-based PDF needs extractable text; scanned pages are not supported.
Choose Static WPM, Average + variation, or Minimum / maximum. Set thinking-pause probability and duration, and amendments where supported. Settings take effect when starting a new simulation.
Select a destination. For Word, use a separate working document or an open document, then Capture destination. For compatible fields or keyboard mode, position the cursor and press Ctrl+Alt+C.
Select Start typing or press Ctrl+Alt+S. Ctrl+Alt+P pauses and Ctrl+Alt+X stops. Keyboard mode requires the captured window and field to remain focused.
Pause before exporting a snapshot. Recover session opens a saved checkpoint. Keep its session folder together. Keyboard sessions instead retain partial-text.txt for manual continuation after restart.

KNOW YOUR TOOLS
The details make the difference.
Typing controls+
Static WPM; average with variation; minimum/maximum range. Thinking-pause chance and duration work at every pace. Actual speed depends on destination responsiveness.
Amendments & repeatability+
First-pass mistakes can be corrected later. Choose character, word, sentence, or paragraph depth within editable formatting spans; set lookback, random seed, and object insertion pause. Keyboard mode disables amendments.
Import & export+
Import DOCX, DOC, RTF, ODT, TXT, Markdown, HTML, and text-based PDF. Word-based export supports DOCX, DOC, RTF, ODT, TXT, Markdown, HTML, and PDF; simpler destinations keep basic text.
Destination requirements+
Word: installed, activated desktop Word. Google Docs: OAuth setup. UTF-8 file: a writable destination. Compatible field: capture and supported editor access. Keyboard: focus maintained, paragraph breaks opt-in.
Comparison+
Select revisions between old and new documents and save a separate DOCX. Word is required. The saved result can become a typing source; the comparison itself is immediate.
Session controls+
Start, pause, resume, and stop. Checkpoint-based recovery for supported destinations. Ctrl+Alt+C captures; Ctrl+Alt+S starts/resumes; Ctrl+Alt+P pauses; Ctrl+Alt+X stops. F1 opens shortcuts.
Which platforms are supported?+
The supplied Morne portable release is for Windows x64. There is no verified macOS or Linux release in this package. Extract it before running HumanType.exe.
Do I need Microsoft Word?+
Desktop Word must be installed and activated for Word output, document comparison, and Word-based document conversion. Text-only destinations can run without Word. Word keeps the richest formatting; other destinations output basic text.
How does Google Docs work?+
Background Google Docs output requires your own Google OAuth desktop-client setup. It outputs paragraph text rather than rich DOCX structure. See the Google Docs setup guide included with the application.
Can I use other apps while it runs?+
Background Word and supported background destinations do not use ordinary foreground typing. They still need an awake, signed-in Windows session. Foreground keyboard mode requires the captured destination to remain focused and disables amendments.
What happens if the session is interrupted?+
Word snapshots are saved every 30 seconds and on pause, stop, and completion. Recover session resumes from a validated checkpoint, so unexpected failure may lose work since the last snapshot. File and Google sessions use text checkpoints. Field recovery needs the original field and matching text; keyboard mode has manual continuation only after restart.
Can it reproduce every document exactly?+
DOCX gives the best preservation, but conversion can simplify complex layout and objects. PDF import needs extractable text; OCR is not included. “Needs review” flags a detected mismatch while retaining your result. Review the output before relying on it.
Why is Windows blocking the download?+
The supplied release is unsigned. Windows security controls may prevent it from running because the publisher cannot be verified. Contact MORNE for release support; this page does not ask you to disable security protection.
